《养正图》又称《圣功图》,是带有启蒙教育性质的作品,明清两代均有绘制。此套册页共10开,画面内容皆为历代贤明君主的故事。每开对题均有张若蔼书写对应故事情节的文字。两者配合,图文并茂,能够起到以史为鉴、以图育人的教育目的。
此册虽为人物画,但作为背景的楼阁宫阙占有相当的比重,不难看出西方技法对画家的影响。建筑物的画法适当借用了焦点透视法,并力图在设色上用晕染的深浅表现构件的明暗关系,突出建筑的立体感。从作品整体看,构图、线条、色彩并没有摆脱明代画家仇英的设色界画系统,画面带有较多的装饰色彩和平面感觉,在表现建筑的体积感和建筑材料的质感上尚显不足。

Yangzheng Tu, also known as Sheng Gong Tu, is a work with the nature of enlightenment education. It was painted in Ming and Qing dynasties. This album has 10 pages. The contents of the picture are the stories of the wise and wise monarchs of the past dynasties. Every pair of questions has Zhang Ruo-chen's writing corresponding to the plot of the story. The combination of the two can serve the educational purpose of drawing lessons from history and educating people.
Although this book is a figure painting, the castle and palace as the background occupies a considerable proportion. It is not difficult to see the influence of western techniques on painters. The drawing method of the building appropriately borrows the focus perspective method, and tries to show the light-dark relationship of the components with the depth of halo dyeing in the color setting, highlighting the three-dimensional sense of the building. As a whole, the composition, lines and colours of the paintings have not got rid of Qiu Ying's colour boundary painting system of the Ming Dynasty. The paintings have more decorative colours and plane sensations, which are still insufficient in expressing the volume sense of the building and the texture of the building materials.
