李呈修 1960年出生,山东茌平县人。毕业于解放军艺术学院。现为中国美术家协会会员,国家一级美术师,中国华侨文学艺术家协会常务理事,九州出版社美术编审,清华大学美术学院访问学者。在长期的创作实践中潜心研究、探索中国画创作的新技法、新领域、坚持从生活中汲取营养,寻找创作灵感。

1987年毕业于解放军艺术学院，现为中国美术家协会会员，大地画会画家之一，中国华侨文学艺术家协会常务理事，现为中国美术家协会会员,国家一级美术师,中国华侨文学艺术家协会九州出版社美术副编审。他的作品曾多次参加全国美展，部分书画作品被美国、韩国、泰国、新加坡等国际友人收藏。其作品视觉冲击力强，既有现代观念的色彩斑斓，又具传统笔墨的秀润博大，内涵丰富耐人寻味。

1987年8月，《历史的回声》参加建军60周年全国美展；

1986年8月，国画《炮手》和版画《生命》两幅不同形式的作品同时参加全国南疆前线美术作品展；

1988年5月，《永恒的爱》参加全国首届长城美展；

1988年10月，《无题》参加全国书画大奖赛获奖作品展；

1988年6月，《生》参加北京美术家协会新时代画展；

1987年7月，《化城塔之夜》参加北京美协北京风情画展，8月《王岳真形图》参加北京美协青年美展；

1989年1月，《船思》《无》参加日本中国现代水墨画展；6月出版《山水画集》《速写》(与同仁合作)；

1990年7月，与刘大为、张道兴、林凡、王界山、张清智、敬庭尧、朝鸿等九位画家联合举办迎亚运中国画联展，其中《化城塔之夜》《白云深处》两幅国画作品捐献亚运会；

1991年5月，与同仁合作出版《大地情》画册，6月，与同仁合作举办《老区风情》画展，12月，《无题》参加中国画研究院1991年中国山水画邀请展；

1992年4月，中央电视台拍摄并播放《大地之星——记画家李呈修》的专题片；1999年，入典《当代中国书画名人图录》；

2002年2月，与大地同仁在北京人民大会堂分别向沂蒙老区济困助学基金会捐款10万元人民币，4月，与大地画会全体同仁赴四川写生，并在若尔盖民族寄宿制小学全程资助藏族贫困学生卓玛央宗，直至完成大学学业；

2003年春节期间，大地画会在中央电视台3频道《真情无限》节目中举行义卖活动，由画家李呈修为主执笔创作的大型国画作品《白云深处》义卖所得的10万元人民币，全部捐献给中国绿色环保组织；同年5月，在西部献爱心活动中，向中国妇女基金会捐献了国画新作……

北京的冬天很冷遭遇初雪时，呈修去了山西。山西亦已降雪，皑皑白雪覆盖着黄土高原，愈显清晰地袒露出它那凹凸不平、皱折迭起的身躯，千万年间风雨雕饰的大地，在清冷的天幕之下述说其无遮无掩的身世。呈修选择这样的时刻来窥视它的奥妙，全然不顾寒冷会冻结他向这里走来的初衷。

五次黄土高原之行的前前后后，呈修画了一批以其为母题的创作。面对他的这一批新作，不只朋友们以为呈修变了，变得有些陌生，有些异样，有些耐人深思；呈修自己也因此重新审视自己。如果把这之前与这之后筑一道墙，假若将墙的内侧比作过去，他是熟悉的；假若把墙的外侧比作当下，他则有些生疏，他似乎也需要重新认识自己。如同枫丹白露曾经改变了柯罗，塔希堤岛曾经改变了高更，那么，我们说有些变化其实并不需要太多原因。中国也有艺术家其改变的原因甚至比柯罗与高更更加简单，例如张仃、李可染，他们的改变仅仅是从室内走向室外，但就是这样的原因却不仅改变了自己，甚至整体地改变了中国的山水画。

也许我们不能说呈修的黄土高原之行是有预谋的，但从其结果看，倘若没有预谋则是不可想象的。为了证明我们的揣度不是想当然，我们不妨看一看，呈修究竟改变了什么。

首先是画面中的情感有了明确的能够与一个民族的历史与现实同时都有关联的指向；在这之前你对呈修的画可能没有这种印象。

其次是形成了与这种拥有内在同一性的图式形式。形式的追求要附翼于有特指的情感倾向，并寻求实现它们之间的一致性，图式在形式的意义上是可能由视觉导向意识的;接下来是对构成图式形式的语言或者说为一定的图式形式所约束的语言系统的探索与应用，其中包括色调、笔法、虚实、黑白等诸多元素。一种图式形式大致只有一种与其相宜的语言方式，它们之间的亲缘性是很苛刻的，所以有“风格即人”的说法，就是说每个人都是独立的个体，没有两个人在完全的意义上是相同的。艺术之所以被认为是一种特殊的人类行为，期间最使人难以捉摸的就是艺术与艺术之间的异质性，一个艺术家即是一个世界。

黄土高原那片土地的气息很特别，雄浑博大之外，也还有最为普通甚至平凡的存在。呈修对那片土地的更多体验，更多认识，更多发现，将预示着呈修的明 天，为呈修也为我所期待的明 天。

He graduated from the Academy of Art of the PLA in 1987 and is now a member of the Chinese Artists Association, one of the painters of the Earth Painting Association, the executive director of the Chinese Overseas Chinese Literature Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a national first-level artist, and an associate editor of the Jiuzhou Publishing House of the Chinese Overseas Chinese Literature Artists Association. His works have participated in many national art exhibitions. Some of his paintings and calligraphy have been collected by international friends such as the United States, South Korea, Thailand and Singapore. His works have strong visual impact. They are not only colorful in modern concepts, but also rich in traditional brush and ink, with rich and interesting connotations.

In July 1989, Yongsheng participated in the 7th National Art Exhibition.

In August 1987, "Echo of History" participated in the National Art Exhibition for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the army.

In August 1986, two different forms of Chinese painting "Gunner" and printmaking "Life" took part in the National Front Art Exhibition in Southern Xinjiang.

In May 1988, "Eternal Love" participated in the first National Great Wall Art Exhibition.

In October 1988, "Untitled" participated in the award-winning works exhibition of the National Painting and Calligraphy Grand Prix.

In June 1988, Sheng participated in the New Era Painting Exhibition of Beijing Artists Association.

In July 1987, "Night of Huacheng Pagoda" participated in the Beijing Style Painting Exhibition of Beijing Artistic Association, and in August, "True Shape of Wang Yue" participated in the Youth Art Exhibition of Beijing Artistic Association.

In January 1989, Chuan Si and Wu participated in the exhibition of modern Chinese ink painting in Japan; in June, they published Landscape Painting Collection and Sketch (in cooperation with colleagues);

In July 1990, nine artists, Liu Dawei, Zhang Daoxing, Lin Fan, Wang Jieshan, Zhang Qingzhi, Jing Tingyao and Chaohong, jointly organized a joint exhibition of Chinese paintings for the Asian Games. Among them, two Chinese paintings, Night of the Huacheng Tower and Deep Baiyun, were donated to the Asian Games.

In May 1991, he published a picture album of "Land Feelings" in cooperation with his colleagues. In June, he held an exhibition of "Old Area Feelings" in cooperation with his colleagues. In December, "Untitled" participated in the 1991 Invitation Exhibition of Chinese Landscape Painting of the Institute of Chinese Painting.

In April 1992, CCTV filmed and broadcasted a special film entitled "The Star of the Earth - Recording the Painter Li Chengxiu"; in 1999, it was included in the classic "Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Celebrities Catalogue";

In February 2002, we donated 100,000 RMB to the Aid-the-needy and Student-Aid Foundation of Yimeng Old District with our colleagues from the Great Hall of the People of Beijing. In April, we went to Sichuan to sketch with all our colleagues from the Earth Painting Association. We also sponsored Zhuoma Yangzong, a poor Tibetan student, in the Zoige National Boarding Primary School, until the completion of University studies.

During the Spring Festival of 2003, the Earth Painting Association held a charity sale on CCTV Channel 3 "Infinite Truth". The 100,000 yuan from the charity sale of the large-scale Chinese painting "Deep in the White Cloud" written by the painter Li Chengxiu was donated to the China Green Environmental Protection Organization.
