刘大为

刘大为,1945年生,祖籍山东诸城。1968年毕业于内蒙古师范大学美术系。1980年毕业于中央美术学院中国画系研究生班。现任解放军艺术学院美术系教授、主任,中国文联副主席、中国美术家协会主席、教科文组织下属国际造型艺术家协会主席、全国政协委员。中国文学艺术界联合会第十届荣誉委员。
主要作品《布里亚特婚礼》、《雏鹰》、《幼狮》、《张华壮曲谱新篇》、《小米加步枪》、《漠上》、《阳光下》、《马背上的民族》、《晚风》、《辉煌之路》、《帕米尔高原的婚礼》、《草原上的歌》、《巴扎归来》、《人民公仆》、《雪线》、《远山》、《雪域生灵》等。 出版有《写意人物画技法》、《刘大为速写》、《刘大为作品集》、《刘大为小品集》、《刘大为水彩画作品》、《史诗与牧歌——刘大为作品集》等。其作品多次参加国内重大展览并获奖,在日本、英国、美国、德国、法国及香港、台湾等国家和地区展出。

刘大为-写意人生

1945年 10月出生于山东潍坊,祖籍山东诸城;
1951年 随父母、祖父母全家移居内蒙古包头。自幼喜欢绘画,随祖父习书法;
1956年 上小学时受到美术老师韩维祥的启蒙、关注培养,11岁时创作第一张大幅水彩画《五一群众大游行》;
1958年 中学读书期间,参加课余美术组,在美术老师兰尚廉指导下,接受了系统的素描、速写和水彩画基本功训练;14岁时正值大跃进时期,绘制了多幅巨幅宣传画、壁画;
1963年 9月考入内蒙古师范学院美术系(现内蒙师范大学美术学院);
    1967年 文化大革命中,到内蒙古红卫兵展览办公室工作两年,担任美术组长;承担各种展览设计和绘画任务,期间绘制了大量巨幅油画毛主席像、巨幅宣传画及大量历史画;多幅宣传画在内蒙古各大报纸和杂志发表;
1968年 12月大学毕业,分配到包头市半导体器件厂当钳工,“接受工人阶级再教育”;每逢外地出差,坚持油画及水彩画风景写生;
1970年 创作中国画《彩笔绘新图》,内蒙古人民出版社出版发行明信片;
1971年 创作年画《钢铁是这样炼成的》,由内蒙古人民出版社出版,并刊登于“包头文艺”;
1972年 调到包头市日报社工作,担任美术编辑、记者;
创作《银针凝真情》(和马莲合作),作为内蒙古自治区唯一入选作品,参加纪念毛泽东延安文艺座谈会讲话发表30周年全国美术作品展,在中国美术馆展出;
1974年 创作《草原颂歌》(和贾方舟合作),作为内蒙古自治区入选的两幅作品之一,参加全国美术作品展,中国美术馆展出;
8月与包头艺术家一起赴内蒙古乌兰察布盟赛汉塔拉草原写生体验生活;
11月到包头市五七干校学习6个月;
1975年 创作水粉连环画《小骑手》,内蒙古人民出版社出版、国家外文出版社出版,该作品1978年参加全国连环画展,获二等奖;
创作油画《边疆女民兵》,入选全国美术作品展,中国美术馆展出;
1976年 5月借调到内蒙古三十周年大庆办公室工作一年,任美术组长,负责“三十周年成就展”美术创作等;
创作巨幅水粉画《红太阳照亮了内蒙古草原》,作为内蒙古入选作品之一,参加“粉碎四人帮全国美展”;
12月陪同浙江美术学院雕塑系沈文强等四位教授赴锡林格勒正蓝旗、镶黄旗写生;
1977年 5月带领包头美术创作学习班学员赴土默特右旗大青山农村写生;
创作连环画《龙梅、玉荣》草原英雄小姐妹,内蒙古人民美术出版社出版;
10月赴包头郊区五当召公社石拐矿区写生;
1978年 5月赴内蒙古达茂旗百灵庙、察干敖包牧区写生;
9月考入中央美术学院中国画系研究生班,亲聆叶浅予蒋兆和李苦禅李可染、刘凌仓、吴作人等一代名师教诲;
10月研究生班赴敦煌、山西永乐宫学习临摹壁画。为连环画《除奸记》作封面设计,内蒙古人民美术出版社出版;
1979年 4月参加中央慰问团,赴云南前线及西双版纳、黄山慰问写生;
6月创作连环画《雪夜擒敌》,内蒙古人民美术出版社出版;
1980年 4月赴内蒙呼伦贝尔、锡林格勒草原体验生活写生;

9月创作连环画《花木兰》(和胡勃合作),河北美术出版社出版;

4月带领军艺学员赴广西法卡山、凭祥、龙邦、百色等前线写生;

2013年10月30日晚,在美国纽约国家艺术俱乐部举行的“水墨·中国梦——当代中国画精品展”开幕式上,美国合作方中华文化艺术基金会向中国美术家协会主席刘大为颁发了“文化传承特别奖”,刘大为主席成为该奖项设立以来的首位获奖者。
2013年11月27日中国美术家协会第八次全国代表大会27日在北京闭幕,大会选举产生了新一届理事会和以刘大为为主席的主席团。

作品风格

刘大为兼擅工笔与写意,以反映北方少数民族生活风情及重大历史题材著称于世,其代表作品《马背上的民族》,是他用传统工笔重彩手法创作出的佳构,曾在全国大型美展上获奖。平凡中见伟岸、平和中显沧桑的功力是刘大为十几年边陲生活的展开,也是其对历史风貌与时代精神的独特把握。
刘大为在中央美院中国画系研究生班学习二年,主攻人物画专业,在蒋兆和叶浅予黄胄卢沉姚有多诸先生的指导下,刻苦学习,进步很快,在随后的几年里,很快地掌握了中国画的表现规律,无论工笔重彩或水墨写意诸种不同的技法,他运用得都很娴熟。这对于他的创作水平迅速地提高,无疑是个很有利的条件。然而,对于像刘大为这样的中年画家所以取得今天的成就,与其说是功力的扎实和绘画语言的娴熟,毋宁说更重要的是由于他把艺术与生活、艺术与社会的关系摆得很正,对待传统与创新的关系处理得比较稳健所使然。
刘大为的艺术,不仅继承和延续人物画古往今来积极反映生活、追求艺术真善美的优秀传统,而且在改革开放的新时代作为社会主义美术的主导力量无论在题材的开拓上或是艺术形式技巧的表现上,都有自己独到的运用。

人物访谈

记者:新疆采风刚一结束,您就马不停蹄地带领采风团第二支队伍奔赴延安,日程安排得极为紧凑,一定十分辛苦。“赴革命纪念地深入生活创作”采风活动的第二站选择延安有什么样的考虑?[7]
刘大为:滚滚延河水,巍巍宝塔山,延安的形象早已耳熟能详,延安是红色的圣地、革命的摇篮。一说起延安,人们都会感到分外亲切,敬意油然而生。6月11日晚上,我们才到达延安,美术家们确实旅途劳顿。但是当大家看到壮丽的延安,一切疲倦一扫而光。采风期间,画家们始终沉浸在无比激动的情绪之中。中共中央和毛泽东在这里领导、指挥了抗日战争和解放战争,奠定了中华人民共和国的基石,谱写了可歌可泣的历史篇章。也就是在延安,孕育了光照千秋的延安精神,在中国的革命和建设中提供了巨大的精神动力。在我们党的历史上,马列主义同中国实际相结合的第一次历史性飞跃就是在延安实现的,延安是毛泽东思想从形成、发展到成熟的圣地。
1942年5月,我党在延安期间于杨家岭召开文艺座谈会,毛主席发表了《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》。《讲话》给延安文艺界带来了崭新的精神面貌。从此,在马列主义、毛泽东思想指引下的中国革命文艺不断出现新的高潮。实践证明,《讲话》精神不仅在战争年代、在当代,乃至在将来,都指引着中国文艺发展的方向,是照耀进步文艺家前进的灯塔。美术家们来到延安,重温《讲话》精神,亲身感受延安精神,受到了很大的鼓舞,并从中获得了内在提升的力量;同时也能更为深切地体会到“文学艺术为谁服务”,进而“如何服务”的问题,这必将在他们日后的艺术创作中得以展现。在延安学习、教学、奋斗、创作的一大批艺术家,像蔡若虹华君武力群江丰等许多老先生、老前辈都从这里沿着革命文艺路线,并为新中国文艺事业发展做出了他们毕生的贡献。他们当年的艺术历程和创作激情令采风画家们感佩不已,延安精神仍然是今天艺术发展前进的动力。
记者:此次采风活动规模浩大,在全国引起了很大的反响。除了有对新中国历史的缅怀和对革命精神的赞颂与诉求之外,在深入生活,提升各类写生活动质量等方面无疑也具有极大的导向作用。
刘大为:是的。生活是一切艺术创作的源泉。生活是源,而不是流,《讲话》鼓励我们走向生活、走向人民大众,有了这种感觉和创作激情,作品才能感动人,才能真实地反映社会、反映时代。这次参加采风活动的都是有成就的艺术家,他们的优秀作品在当代都有一定的代表性,在这里,他们又再次深切地感受到了这条真理,那就是,艺术家永远不要离开火热的生活,不要脱离时代。实际上这就是我们今天讲的“三贴近”,是对《讲话》的进一步诠释。翻开历史的画卷,从战争年代到新中国成立,再到改革开放,真正能够在社会上产生影响,受到人们喜爱的,感动人的还是那些有真实生活感受的作品。此次采风必将鼓舞艺术家们回去后把感受融入到创作中去,创作出感人的、有深刻精神力量、有分量的好作品。
我们恰逢盛世,文化艺术繁荣发展,各类展览和美术活动十分活跃,但是在成绩的背后,我们也看到当下美术创作存在一些问题、一些遗憾。尤其是大家公认的,在反映革命历史题材的创作中能够震撼人的、有分量的作品还不够,这一点艺术家们自身也都意识到了,这并非是因为我们的艺术家不投入、不认真对待,主要的原因还是出于生活的体验、感受不深,受到了浮躁之风的影响。中国美协有责任为之做出努力,为艺术家提供平台、创造机会,组织大家走向生活,深入生活,这也是中国美协组织此次采风创作的初衷,希望我们在不久的将来能看到更为感人的艺术作品,迎接当代美术创作的新高潮
也因此而展开了不少话题,它留给我们今天的采风以及不久后即将展开的创作以怎样的经验和启示?
刘大为:中国美协组织各画种、各年龄阶段的代表性画家赴红色写生之旅,画家们的思想受到强烈冲击。踏上延安的土地后,美术家们感慨纷纷。亲历延安才知道,我们从书本里得知的史实远远不够,在这里,有太多的躲在历史深处的记忆未被唤醒,有太多的艺术题材等待开掘,有太多的被蕴藏的创作激情一触即发,似乎这里孕育着无尽的力量能随时牵引着画笔展开创作。这些感受无一不在印证着艺术家走进生活的必要性。事实上,采风的意义不仅限于创作素材的开发、创作题材的充实,有时甚至能“顿悟”出更为恰当的艺术语言和表现技巧。
