《风柳群燕图》轴，清光绪九年（1883年），任颐绘，绢本，设色，纵152.5厘米，横40厘米。

　　此图是幅表现春风中群燕嬉戏的小品画，也是任颐运用以实托虚的手法成功地表现“风”的代表作。虚缈、抽象的风通过小燕振翅翻飞的动态和柳叶飘舞张扬的形状被表现得既具象又生动，不仅令“风”有了可视的形象，而且突出了作者“轻柳爱风斜”的创作主题。从构思到笔墨都反映了作者在绘画创作成熟期的精湛艺术水准。

　　本幅款署：“癸未春正月山阴任颐伯年甫。”钤“颐印”白文印。“癸未”是清光绪九年（1883年），任颐时年44岁。

This picture is a sketch of swallows playing in the spring breeze. It is also Ren Yi's representative work of successfully expressing the "wind" by using the method of supporting reality with emptiness. The imaginary and abstract wind is expressed vividly through the dynamics of the swallow's wing flipping and the willow's leaf fluttering, which not only gives the wind a visual image, but also highlights the theme of the author's "light willow love wind tilt". From conception to brush and ink, it reflects the author's exquisite artistic level in the mature period of painting creation.
