王原祁艺菊图》卷,清,禹之鼎作,绢本,设色,纵32.4厘米,横136.4厘米。

  本幅款题“廣陵禹之鼎敬寫”。钤“慎齋禹之鼎印”、“广陵囗囗”。

  此图是禹之鼎在京城官任鸿胪寺序班、供奉畅春园时为王原祁所画的肖像。画中描绘王原祁于庭院内品茗赏菊的情景,以表现其文人雅趣。画中王氏方面浓须,身材微胖,约50岁年纪,手持茶杯,端坐于榻几上,欣赏着面前的丛菊,目光十分专注,举止稳重大方,体现了不同于一般文人的雍容高贵的气度。画中陈设造型简洁,设色典雅的桌榻、摆放整齐的书册、画卷,精心栽培的盆菊等景物,进而点明了人物的爱好和雅兴。画家刻意地突出了主人公和艺菊的主题,并使画面留下了一定的空白,给人以想象的余地。此外,人物的细节刻画也加强了画面的感染力,王原祁凝神遐想,书童谨慎地轻声对语的神情,无不使人感受到静谧幽雅的气氛。在画法上,作者吸收了“波臣派”的画法,人物面部以细线勾勒,以淡墨和赭色略作皴染,人物面色真实自然。衣纹兼取李公麟的白描法、马和之的兰叶描,线条飘逸潇洒,洗练流畅,恰当地体现了人物文雅超逸的气质。图中设色富于变化,在和谐的对比、映衬中突出了主题。

The title of this paragraph is "Respect for the Ding of Yuzhi in Guangling". Jun "Shen Zhai Yu Ding Yin" and "Guang Ling Kou Kou".

This picture is a portrait of Yuzhiding painted by Wang Yuanqi when he was in the preface class of the Guanren Hongquan Temple in Beijing and worshipped Changchun Garden. The painting depicts Wang Yuanqi enjoying chrysanthemums in the courtyard to show his literati's elegance and interest. In the painting, Wang's beard is strong, slightly fat, about 50 years old, holding a cup, sitting on the couch, enjoying the chrysanthemum cluster in front of him, his eyes are very attentive, his manner is steady and generous, which reflects the graceful and noble manner different from that of ordinary literati. In the painting, the display is concise, elegant table and couch, neatly arranged books, picture scrolls, carefully cultivated potted chrysanthemum and other scenery, and then points out the people's hobbies and elegance. The painter deliberately highlighted the theme of the protagonist and the artist chrysanthemum, and left a certain gap in the picture, giving people room to imagine. In addition, the detailed depiction of the characters also strengthens the appeal of the picture. Wang Yuanqi is absorbed in reverie, and the children's carefully whispering expression makes people feel the quiet and elegant atmosphere. In painting, the author absorbs the "Bochen School" painting method. The characters'faces are delineated with fine lines and slightly dyed with light ink and ochre. The characters' faces are real and natural. The clothing pattern takes Li Gonglin's sketch and Ma He Zhi's Blue Leaf sketch. The lines are elegant and graceful, and the washing is smooth.
