《葛震甫像》卷,明,曾鲸绘,纸本,设色,纵32.5cm,横77.5cm。
此卷系明代著名人物肖像画家曾鲸为文人葛一龙所作。图中人物倚书函斜坐,乌巾长髯,白袍朱履,神清气朗,一派儒者风范。
本幅无款,在人物的左下方钤“曾鲸之印”、“波臣父”白文印2方。有明米万钟、范景文、周之纲、王思任题4则,并各钤印两方。由于本幅上部略有残缺,因而题写的字迹已不太完整。
图中人物墨髯如缕,用笔极为细腻。面部以淡墨绘形,而后以赭石等色在鼻洼、双颊处层层渍染,表现出凹凸层次,颇具立体效果。人物双睛如墨,炯炯有神,而面部皱纹、眼袋的细腻描绘则恰如其分地表现了葛氏当时的年龄特征。人物衣纹画法相对简单,几根线条,略涂淡淡的白粉,即表现出宽衣大袖。在景物的设置上,为更加切合主人公的身份特征,画家使其倚书而坐,别无它景,将主人公文雅高洁的性格特征于不经意中表露无遗。一点朱履外露,起到了丰富画面色彩的作用。图中人物只占据约四分之一的画面,这是曾鲸的肖像画中较为常见的形式,因为他交游广泛,笔下的许多人物都是文人、学者,必须留出较大的空间以备题识,此图即一例。
此图是曾鲸的代表作,其立意构图、绘画技法都具有很高的水平,从图中葛氏已近中、晚年的形象看,其创作时间大致应在崇祯年间,此时是曾鲸艺术创作的高峰时期。

This volume was written by Zeng Whale, a famous portrait painter of Ming Dynasty, for Ge Yilong, a literati. The figure in the picture is sitting obliquely on a letter, with a long black beard, a white robe and Zhu Lu, with a clear spirit and a style of Confucianism.
There is no money in this picture. At the lower left of the characters, there are two printed sides: the seal of Zeng Whale and the print of Pochen Father. There are Mingmi Wanzhong, Fan Jingwen, Zhou Zhigang and Wang Siren's four titles, and they are printed on both sides. Because the upper part of this page is slightly incomplete, the inscription is not complete.
The figures in the picture have ink-like moustaches and very delicate pens. The face is painted in light ink, and then stained with ochre and other colors in the nasal depression and cheeks layer by layer, showing concave and convex layers, quite three-dimensional effect. The figure's eyes are as bright as ink, while the delicate depiction of facial wrinkles and eye bags appropriately reflects the age characteristics of Ge's time. Character clothing pattern painting is relatively simple, a few lines, a little light white powder, that is, showing a wide sleeve. In the setting of scenery, in order to more suit the identity characteristics of the protagonist, the painter makes the protagonist sit on the books without any other scenery, and inadvertently reveals the elegant and noble character characteristics of the protagonist. A little Zhu Lu exposed, played a role in enriching the color of the picture. The figure in the picture occupies only about a quarter of the picture, which is a common form in Zeng whale's portraits. This picture is the representative work of Zeng Whale. Its composition and painting techniques are of high level. From the image of Ge in his middle and late years, his creation time should be roughly in Chongzhen, which is the peak period of Zeng Whale's artistic creation
