--------Introduction in English--------
"Tide View Map" axis, Qing Dynasty, Yuan Jiang Painting, silk, color, 97 cm vertical, 131 cm horizontal.
This self-titled painting: "Binshen Hao Shang Yuan Jiang Painting in March." Jun's "Seal of Yuan Jiang" and "Haoshang Yuan Wentao" seals are two sides.
This picture is Yuan Jiang's early works, depicting the magnificent scenery of Qiantang tide. Qiantang River in Zhejiang Province has formed a spectacular flood season due to its special geographical situation, and tide watching has become an annual grand event. The diagonal composition is adopted in this picture. Influenced by the side-corner composition of Ma Yuan and Xiagui in the Southern Song Dynasty, the stone pavilions are concentrated in the lower left corner, while most of the pictures are used to show the surging tide and the faint distant mountains, which fully shows the magnificence of the river tide. The method of mountainous stone chains mostly borrows the brush of Li Cheng and Guo Xi in the Northern Song Dynasty. The method of river and water painting is meticulous and rigorous, and also has the lingering charm of Song people.
