本幅左上自题:“南骏已负王良御,一顾应逢伯乐鸣。” 下钤“黄慎”印,又一方朱文印模糊不辨。
此图绘伯乐相马故事。伯乐相传为秦穆公时人,姓孙名阳,善相马。唐韩愈《杂说》曰:“世有伯乐,然后有千里马。千里马常有,而伯乐不常有。”题中引用了王良驾车之典,王良是战国时赵国的车夫,他驾车之快无人能比。
该画人、马比例协调,线条洗练,树干笔势苍劲。作者以精确的笔墨、生动的画面向读者传达了古老的成语故事。

The top left title of this picture is: "Nanjun has assumed the role of Wang Liangyu, and when you look at it, you should meet Bo Yue Ming." Xiajun's "Huang Shen" seal is indistinguishable from that of Zhu Wen on the other side.
This picture depicts the story of Bole Xiangma. Bole was handed down as a man of the Qin and Mugong dynasties. His name was Sun Mingyang and he was a good-looking horse. Tang Hanyu's Miscellaneous Talks said, "There is Bole in the world, and then there is Qianli Ma. Thousand-mile horses are common, but Bole is not. Wang Liang was the driver of Zhao during the Warring States Period. He drove faster than anyone else.
The painter and horse are in harmony with each other, the lines are washed and the brushwork of the trunk is vigorous. The author conveys the old idiom story to the readers with precise ink and vivid pictures.
