《桃村草堂图》轴，明，仇英绘，绢本，设色，纵150cm，横53cm。

　　自题：“仇实父为少岳先生制”，钤“十洲”朱文葫芦形印。此图是仇英师承南宋二赵风格的作品，描绘的是幽深静逸的隐居环境。草堂位于山坳，其后桃林一片，溪流出其下，一童子踞溪侧洗砚。更上则高岭白云，丛树列布，意境幽深。画作富有诗意，画法精细工谨，细致入微。通幅大青绿着色，色彩艳丽深重。方薰在《山静居论画》中说：“设色不以深浅为难，难于色彩相合，合则神气生动。”此图将滴翠的石绿、秀雅的淡赭、温润的墨色自然和谐地统一在一起，具有一种雅俗共赏的艺术效果。此图为仇英青绿山水画的代表作之一。

　　据徐石雪题跋考证，画中主人公为项元淇。仇英此图是应项元淇之约而作。项元淇，字子瞻，号少岳。工诗文，善草书，著名收藏家项元汴之兄。图中项氏襟带飘然，风度高雅，四周环境清幽，景色宜人，宛如人间仙境。裱边有董其昌、昆虔、徐宗浩题跋。经清内府收藏，后为徐石雪所得。

　　鉴藏印钤“阿尔喜普之印”、“东平”、“归云精舍”、“乾隆御览之宝”及项元汴、耿昭忠、耿嘉祚、索额图、梁清标等诸家鉴藏印多方。

Caotang is located in the mountain depression, followed by a peach forest, the stream flowed out below, a boy washed inkstones on the side of the stream. On top of that, there are white clouds of kaolin, trees and deep artistic conception. The paintings are poetic, meticulous and meticulous. The whole picture is colored with blue and green, and the colour is gorgeous and deep. Fang Xun said in "On Painting of Mountain Living Quietly": "It is not difficult to set colors in depth, but difficult to match colors, and it is lively to combine colors." This picture unifies the emerald green, elegant light ochre and moist ink naturally and harmoniously, and has an artistic effect of both elegance and vulgarity. This picture is one of the representative works of Qiu Yingqing's green landscape paintings.

According to the textual research of Xu Shixue's inscriptions and postscripts, the protagonist in the painting is Xiang Yuanqi. Qiu Ying made this picture in response to Xiang Yuanqi's covenant. Xiang Yuanqi, the word looks forward, the number Shaoyue. Gongshiwen, good cursive script, brother of famous collector Xiang Yuanbian. In the picture, the necklace is elegant and elegant, with a quiet surroundings and pleasant scenery, just like a fairyland on earth. There are inscriptions by Dong Qichang, Kunpian and Xu Zonghao. It was collected by the Qing government and later by Xu Shixue.
