　　本幅款署：“千里郑重”；钤有清内府收藏印：“三希堂精鉴玺”、“宜子孙”、“嘉庆御览之宝”、“石渠宝笈”、“宝笈三编”、“宣统御览之宝”。

　　此图描绘的情景正是端午时节，中国南方地区的湖区景象。画面采用马远一角式构图，观看赛龙舟的老少人等集中在画面右下角的岸边，掩映于湖光树石之间，亦有人骑于树干枝头，以便获取更好的观赛角度。而画面大量的留白则形成了烟波浩渺的湖面，湖上四只龙舟、一只凤舟正在挥桨竞渡。远山若隐若现。整幅画面精致工丽而不失活泼，为风俗画的佳作。

　　此图继承了唐代“大小李将军”华美的青绿山水画风，画面整体气韵瑞丽生动，敷彩勾勒工丽细致，并在构图及运笔等细节方面吸取了时代特征，具有明代工笔绘画构图布局灵动、画面充满动感、人物细节精致、所描绘的风俗情景生动写实的风格。
