--------Introduction in English--------
"Landscape Map" Fan Page, Ming, Xu Wei Painting, Golden Note, Ink, 15.8 cm in length, 47.4 cm in horizontal.
The fan page has its own title: "Hengjiang fishes alone for Chamberland, Wei." The stamp is indistinguishable.
This picture shows a close-range picture of Shipotuo, on which several miscellaneous trees are planted, and some leaves have withered, indicating that the time is cold autumn. The mid-view is empty waters, where a man wears a hat and drives a boat and fishes alone. His lonely figure adds a sense of desolation to the painting. The prospect is a gentle hill, without any upright momentum. Xu Wei was brilliant, but he lived in a period when the Ming Dynasty was declining, Yan Song and other treacherous officials were in power, and the dispute between friends was extremely fierce. His talent was difficult to exert. He once wrote in The Grape (Palace Museum Collection): "Half a lifetime has become a man, independent study roaring in the evening wind, the Pearl of the pen has no place to sell, idle throwing wild vines." It's a metaphor of being thrown into a wild vine like a wild grape, and nobody cares about it. The chill and loneliness shown in this chart is just the reflection of his disappointment and ambition. The whole picture is concise and flexible with brush strokes, rich in ink, and the shape does not seek form but expresses inner injustice. It belongs to the typical landscape painting style of Xu Wei.
