--------Introduction in English--------
"Baqiao Snow Map" axis, Ming Dynasty, Wu Weitu, silk, ink, 138.1 cm vertical, 106 cm horizontal.
Section Department: "Xiaoxian". Jun "Wu Wei" seal.
"Baqiao" is located on the Bahe River in the east of Xi'an City. It is the only way to Luoyang in the east. Ancient people often say goodbye here. The allusion of "Baqiao breaks willow" in Tang poetry emerges from this.
Wu Wei's picture is not a realistic one, but a farewell one. Pictures of winter, snow on rocks, trees bleak, travelers are passing through a narrow wooden bridge. The author outlines the rocks with a side-edged horizontal pen, with rough lines, vigorous brush strokes and exposed sharp edges.
