宣王中兴爲周人带来的振奋，似乎久久未能平息，连书家都受到了感染，作品也格外地见精神。瞧!《颂壶》铭文的风发意气不是已经朝着我们扑面而来了么!请看，一个个高耸的字形气字轩昂、踌躇满志，界格对它们来说已经失去了约束，它们顶天立地、热闹非凡，把其他的字冷落在一旁，孤孤单单，形影相弔。其实这正是结体和布白的生动之处。它的线条匀美强健，它的笔力沉着圆畅，好像一个个高雅华贵的公卿大夫，济济跄跄，从容恭谨，列于庙堂。这正是典型的西周金文大篆的艺术精神，当然，也是贵族文化的性格。
