  柯尔内留·巴巴(C.Corneliu Baba 1906~ ) 罗马尼亚画家。1906年11月18日生于克拉约瓦,其父也是一位画家。巴巴早年曾受父亲的熏陶。柯尔尼留~巴巴是20世纪世界上最伟大的画家之一,他的作品《粉红装少女像》迷住了众多的中国画家。 他接受的严格专业的训练,将现实主义的写实与现代主义的表现相融合,形成了单纯、概括、变形、写意与象征的综合性风格,深沉大器的气质,奠定了其大师地位。

 1930年,巴巴毕业于布加勒斯特大学哲学系

1934年进入雅西艺术学校开始系统学习美术

从1941年起,他开始崭露头角,经常参加国内举办的一些展览会

1943年,他的《从田间归来的农民》在国内展出,这幅作品显示了他的才能,赢得了观众的好评。

第二次世界大战后,在人民取得政权的年代里,他的艺术更加成熟,蜚声国内外。共和国授予他人民艺术家称号,并被选为艺术科学院院士。苏联和民主德国也都授予他荣誉院士的称号。

巴巴的艺术,富有人情味,人物形象来自于生活,显得真实自然,亲切动人。

他是一位色彩大师,色调精致微妙,富有变化,光与色完全融合在一起。代表作有《在田间休息》(1954)、《农民》(1958)、《炼钢工人》(1960)、《工人肖像》(1961)等。

  前两幅画描绘了解放前农民悲惨生活的情况,画家在塑造农民形象时显然继承了N.格里戈雷斯库的优秀传统,重点不在于表现某种戏剧性的情节、而是在着力表现人,表现人的内心丰富情感。在战后,他描绘现代工人形象时,同样是在努力表现工人阶级的坚强气质和高贵的品德。

  2绘画艺术

  翻看巴巴的画册,他不仅是主题画家,也是一个善画肖像的高手,诗人、演员、剧作家以及画家的妻子等,在巴巴的笔下都具有鲜明的个性和内在气质,给人的是栩栩如生的感受。另一方面,画家在不断 地对着镜子给自己造像,构成系列,我不知道在画家的国度里是否有人来研究巴巴的自画像主题,细细品味,却给我们有益的启示。

  巴巴的自画像可以组成他的人生自传,从早年以自己为模特的绘画习作,到中年踌躇满志一脸傲气的艺术骄子形象,以及晚年面对社会而揭示自己焦躁和恐惧的内心世界。给与你的是人性的思索,是心灵的震撼。

  巴巴生长在一个动荡不安的年代,战争期间生活异常艰苦,战后被划入社会主义阵营。他有着自己的艺术主张,认为艺术是一种有人的主观意识在内的精神创作活动。在斯大林思想体系的禁锢下,多样性遭到了严重的批判。巴巴回忆道:“在艺术、文学、电影界,出现了许多强烈灌输斯大林思想体系原则的新趋势。这是由一些只上过小学的人来执行的,他们负责引导艺术家的创作方向,并严厉批评任何违背这一方向的东西。”巴巴在艺术创作上内心异常痛苦。这一切多表现在自己的自画像上。

  巴巴一直在对自己的内心世界进行探索,他的自画像可以说是那个时代的有良知的知识分子的缩影。

艺术特点

 把握住一幅作品的火候,还要靠第六感觉判断。罗马尼亚画家巴巴,完成一幅肖像画时,不知要在画布上翻来复去地画多少遍,不满意又刮掉。他所求的不是“意料之中”,而是要达到“意料之外”的火候。你要问他如何完成的,他一定会说:我也不知道。没有预想也没有计划。感到什么时候该停笔了,那就完成了。没有这种感觉是不能出杰作的。

第六感既模糊又精确。就如同画一条直线时,画得越直越感到不直,画得越直越没有味道,越无艺术性。艺术感受在思维中是飘忽不定的,超思维的一种视觉直觉。要善于抓住感觉,把什么都能说得一清二楚,也就一般化了。过分强调理性作用,会扼杀灵气,而艺术性越高的作品越是灵气横生、奥妙无穷的。

在艺术领域中,感觉从来是高于理性和共性的。理性较强的训练,意识很强的素描基本功,学习中随着能力的提高,要使溶化于感觉和潜意识之中,为无法之法。  无法是经过有法的熔炉长期地反复地精炼出来的最高之法。但是绝不可忽视有法的基本功训练,谁忽视这种“枯燥”的基础练习,想轻而易举地走捷径,很难到无法的境界。

English Introduction

 C. Corneliu Baba 1906 ~) Romanian painter. Born in Clayova on November 18, 1906, his father was also a painter. Baba was influenced by his father in his early years. Cornelius Barba is one of the greatest painters in the world in the 20th century. His work "Pink Girl Portrait" has captivated many Chinese painters. His strict professional training combined realism with modernism, formed a comprehensive style of simplicity, generalization, distortion, freehand brushwork and symbolism, and established his master status.

In 1930, Baba graduated from the Department of Philosophy, University of Bucharest.

In 1934, he entered Yaxi Art School and began to study art systematically.

Since 1941, he has made a big start, often attending some domestic exhibitions.

In 1943, his "Farmers Returning from the Field" was exhibited in China, which showed his talent and won the audience's praise.

After the Second World War, in the era when the people gained power, his art became more mature and famous at home and abroad. The Republic conferred the title of People's Artist and was elected to the Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Soviet Union and Democratic Germany also awarded him honorary academician titles.

Baba's art is full of human feelings. Characters come from life. They are real, natural and affectionate.

He is a master of color. The tone is delicate, subtle and changeable. Light and color are completely integrated. His representative works include Rest in the Field (1954), Farmers (1958), Steelmakers (1960), Portraits of Workers (1961), etc.

The first two paintings depict the tragic life of peasants before liberation. The painter obviously inherited the excellent tradition of N. Gregoriscu in shaping the image of peasants. The emphasis is not on expressing some dramatic plot, but on expressing people and their rich emotions. After the war, when he depicted the image of modern workers, he was also trying to show the strong temperament and noble character of the working class.

Cornelius Barba belongs to the kind of artist who was born unwilling to drift with the tide. Although Romania's artistic nation and culture have always advocated French art, and in the 1950s it was influenced by the painting style of the former Soviet Union, Baba drew nourishment from Spanish painters Greco, Goya and Rembrandt of the Dutch School of Painting, focusing on expressing the reality and suffering of life. He also inherited the solemn and mafia characteristics of Romanian modern painting, changed the original melancholy complex, and integrated his own deep and magnificent temperament, forming an intrinsic solid and noble painting style. He combines the realistic techniques of realism with the expressive methods of modernism and creates rich pictures of simplicity, generalization, distortion, freehand brushwork and symbolism, thus enjoying a good reputation in Romanian painting circles. In the 1960s, Baba's works were introduced to China. His powerful and individualistic performance fascinated countless Chinese art lovers. Now people still remember the workers like steel ingots and the peasant women like wheat stacks. Baba once influenced a generation of Chinese painters.

2. Painting Art

Looking at Baba's album, he is not only a subject painter, but also a master of portrait painting. Poets, actors, playwrights and painters'wives all have distinct personality and inner temperament in Baba's works, giving people a vivid feeling. On the other hand, the painter keeps making a series of self-portraits in front of the mirror. I don't know whether there are people in the painter's country who study the theme of Baba's self-portrait and taste it carefully, but it gives us useful enlightenment.

Baba's self-portrait can form his autobiography of life, from his early paintings modeled by himself to his arrogant artistic proud image in middle age, and reveal his anxious and fearful inner world when facing the society in his later years. To you is the thinking of human nature, is the shock of the soul.

Baba grew up in a turbulent era. During the war, life was extremely difficult. After the war, Baba was placed in the socialist camp. He has his own artistic ideas and believes that art is a kind of spiritual creative activity including the subjective consciousness of human beings. Under the confinement of Stalin's ideological system, diversity has been severely criticized. Baba recalled: "In the art, literature and film circles, there are many new trends that strongly instill Stalin's ideological system and principles. This is done by people who have only attended elementary school, who are responsible for guiding the direction of artists'creation and criticizing anything that goes against this direction. Baba's heart is extremely painful in artistic creation. All this is reflected in their own self-portraits.

Baba has been exploring his inner world. His self-portrait can be said to epitomize the conscientious intellectuals of that era.
