English Introduction

He was the leading painter of Antwerp's son Matsys and his brother Cornelis quinten, who became a painter and engraver.  he trained his father under. He was admitted to Cornelis, together with his brother, as in Antwerp's main St. Luke's Association in 1531, their father died a year. It is speculated that he left Antwerp immediately after a period of time and work in Fontainebleau, but these facts are not firmly established.  he returned to Antwerp by 1536 he married his cousin Anna van Tuylt in 1538, the couple will have three children.
In 1544 Yang and his brother Cornelis were banned from Antwerp because of their religious beliefs. This may be yang to Fontainebleau and germany. can be sure of the time he spent in Genoa. he imposed a ban on his return to Antwerp before the end of 1555. He was then involved in a number of cases with his brothers and sisters in the distribution of the estate.
He was fully restored to the local City Council commissioned several works to him. Other issues he created is the currency exchange, tax collectors and miser, while others see his father as the creator of this genre.  these works are believed to have been carried out for a didactic purpose. 
Yang Massijs also painted some landscapes, but his work in this genre is not as significant as his brother Cornelis.
