简.莫斯塔特Jan Mostaert(1475年——1556年),荷兰画家。
According to Karel Mander, Mostaert was born in Harlem, and has been a student of James Van Haarlem, that is, in the drawing of the union of the carrier of the painter's street Bavochurch. [1] he is handsome, eloquent and polite, and claimed to be descended from the Knights of Haarlem expedition to damietta. [1] he worked for 18 years as a portrait painter Margaret of Austria (1480 to 1530), the governor of the Habsburg Holland. [1] he died in Antwerp, where he was granted a lifetime pension. [1] Mostaert's name first appeared in the city's record in 1498, and he married a year in his birthplace to buy a house. He is also mentioned in the archives of Haarlem, from 1527 to 1554 in the socket shell 1500 Mostaert shutters commissioned to paint the remains of the saint in Grote church, Haarlem. From that day on, he began to record, listed on the Haarlem guild of St. Luke, and continue to frequent listing, until 1549, he became a painter of the deacon of the guild in 1507, and in 1543 and 1544.
Mostaert's teacher Jacob van Haarlem may actually be an anonymous Brunswick double painting master. Karel Mander described several works, including his peculiar landscape of the West Indies, he believes that this is an unfinished work. Most of Mostaert's work destroyed by fire in Haarlem in 1576, now once attributed to him some pictures by Dean Isenbrant.
His earliest work was obviously influenced by Heitgen Toth Sin Jans, an early Haarlem artist. Some people think that Mostaert actually apprenticed to Geertgen, but it is doubtful that artists have had any apprenticeship or workshop assistants in their careers. From Geertgen, Mostaert uses a refined style and thoughtful compositions for his work, as well as the blunt, angular appearance of his characters.
With 1510 and 1516 Mostaert developed a delicate style, his doll image he lives in bright blue sky scenery, such as the worship of the Magi (about 1520 to 25 years). His strokes are exquisite and precise, with a near religious attention to detail. It is also worth noting that the scenery, which shows that he has a more romantic view of the tendency and broad hills. In 1520s Mostaert was also affected by Joachim's Patinir landscape. Mostaert's San Christopher, with a landscape painting with a river receding back into a broad hill, once even attributed to Patinir.
Mostaert's portrait of this earlier period includes a portrait of Abel van den Coulster (about 1500-10), in which an elegant, thin faced man is situated in the same elegant environment. Mostaert is known to reproduce the original portrait of some of his court commissions, but for the sake of the portrait of the case with Abe, he also painted figures from life and added aristocratic style. He was called in the three quarter long portrait of his nanny, and put their hands on the mat.
As an accomplished court painter allowed Mostaert to earn a living for his art, and to obtain steady patronage. The last record referred to him in 1549, when he asked for permission to live in the town council of Haarlem, so that he could complete an altar there.
