 Samuel van radhan Hoechst followed his father to study until his father died in 1640. He moved to Amsterdam to study with Rembrandt. Soon after, he began to come out as a master and portrait painter.

The number of Van Hoogstraten's works has been kept showing that he tried to imitate different styles at different times. The date is 1645, currently in Liechtenstein in Vienna's portrait, he imitated Rembrandt. He continued in this vein, until late 1653, he made a bearded man looking at the beautiful figure outside the window. In this regard, one of the more distinctive examples of his attitude is to showcase the Museum of art history, Vienna.
