According to Houbraken his art is called "Carle" one of the three masters (the other two are Karel Dujardin and Carrel Safin). He is the son and student John Ulrich Loth (1590 to 1662), is likely to be affected by Giovanna Batista Langetti, he was appointed as the paint emperor Leopold I in Vienna, he worked with Peter Liberi in Venice, where he is in a few years from 1663 to 1698. His brother Franz Loth was also a painter in Venice and germany.
