王兆平，生于浙江定海，2001年定居上海，中国美术家协会会员，原为浙江省舟山市定海文化馆美术干部。浙江省六、七届政协委员，浙江省美术家协会理事，浙江画院特聘画师，浙江省舟山市美术家协会副主席，浙江省舟山书画院院长。入编中国当代美术家人名录、中国当代国画家辞典、世界华人文学艺术界名人录等多种辞书。
作品有中国画《海陬熹微》，水彩画《春暖》等。《海边缀景》获浙江省首届表年美展银奖，《晚炊》获May中国水彩画大展银奖，被国家文化站授予现代民间绘画优秀辅导员称号及浙江省文化厅现代民间绘画辅导一等奖。
曾参加全国首届表年美展、全国六届美展、全国水彩水粉画展、全国第七届美展、全国第八届美展、全国第十届美展、香港中国水彩画大展、中日第三回国水墨合同展、浙江中国画赴京展、2001上海美术大展，作品应邀赴美国、日本、西德、新加坡、朝鲜等国展出，并于浙江画院展厅成功举办个人画展。
