李耀林1959年生于北京，毕业于中央工艺美术学院。现任北京美术家协会副主席、中国美术家协会理事、中国美术家协会综合绘画艺术委员会副主任、北京美术家协会中国画艺术委员会秘书长、北京晚报艺术总监。

 1980年代，画莎士比亚名剧《驯悍记》，同时作公共艺术设计。

1990年代，创办、主编北京晚报美术周刊《艺术图话》，撰写美术评论文章数十万字，这些文字发表在国内外报刊和网站，用于电视专题节目。

1996年，与北欧艺术家在北京云峰画苑举办“走进贵州”风景画联展。

1997年，为中央电视台《美术星空》专题节目撰稿。

1997年，中国民居写生作品在美国纽约、洛杉矶画廊展出。

1998年，油画风景《湘西古镇》被美国收藏家收藏。1999年，“香格里拉风景写生联展”在中央美术学院美术馆展出，并出版画集。

2000年，赴悉尼考察撰写的悉尼奥运会文化艺术专稿，在中央电视台1频道转播悉尼奥运会开幕式节目播出。

2001年，赴法国旅行考察交流，举办水墨画联展。

2002年，水墨风景画《云南纳西老街》被德国收藏家收藏。

2003年，赴英国旅行考察交流。

2004年，水墨风景画《走向神坛》被日本收藏家收藏。

2005年，赴苏格兰旅行考察交流，并创作苏格兰系列风景画。

2006年，赴俄罗斯旅行考察交流，并创作俄罗斯系列风景画。

1985年以来的20多年中，创作的水墨画、油画以风景、中国传统民居建筑为主题。作品在人民日报、光明日报、中国青年报、工人日报、中国文化报、中国政协报、北京日报、北京晚报等多家报刊发表，在国内外画廊多次展出，并被国内外收藏家收藏。

2018年11月，当选为北京美术家协会副主席。

 Li Yaolin was born in Beijing in 1959 and graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. He is currently Vice-Chairman of Beijing Artists Association, Director of China Artists Association, Vice-Chairman of Comprehensive Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, Secretary-General of Chinese Painting Art Committee of Beijing Artists Association and Art Director of Beijing Evening News.

In the 1980s, he painted Shakespeare's famous play "Taming the Shrew" and also made public art designs.

In the 1990s, he founded and edited the Beijing Evening News Art Weekly, Art Diagram, and wrote hundreds of thousands of art commentary articles, which were published in newspapers and websites at home and abroad for TV special programs.

In 1996, he and Nordic artists held a joint exhibition of landscape painting "Entering Guizhou" in Yunfeng Painting Garden, Beijing.

In 1997, he wrote for CCTV's "Art Star" special program.

In 1997, Chinese residential sketches were exhibited at galleries in New York and Los Angeles, USA.

In 1998, the oil painting scenery "Ancient Town of Western Hunan" was collected by American collectors. In 1999, "Shangri-La Landscape Painting Exhibition" was exhibited in the Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum and published a collection of paintings.

In 2000, he went to Sydney to study and write the Sydney Olympic Games cultural and artistic monograph, which was broadcast on CCTV Channel 1 at the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games.

In 2001, he visited France and held a joint exhibition of ink and wash paintings.

In 2002, the painting Naxi Old Street in Yunnan was collected by German collectors.

In 2003, he traveled to Britain for investigation and exchange.

In 2004, Ink Landscape Painting "Towards the Temple of God" was collected by Japanese collectors.

In 2005, he traveled to Scotland to visit and exchange, and created a series of Scottish landscape paintings.

In 2006, he traveled to Russia, visited and exchanged, and created a series of Russian landscape paintings.

For more than 20 years since 1985, the main themes of ink and wash paintings and oil paintings are landscape and traditional Chinese residential buildings. His works have been published in People's Daily, Guangming Daily, China Youth Daily, Workers Daily, Chinese Culture Daily, Chinese Political Consultative Conference Daily, Beijing Daily, Beijing Evening News and many other newspapers. They have been exhibited in galleries at home and abroad and collected by collectors at home and abroad.

In November 2018, he was elected Vice President of Beijing Artists Association.
