刘向平美术作品

刘向平，山东夏津人。擅长中国画。生于北京，自幼习画，1977年参军为文艺兵，1979年考入解放军艺术学院美术系，为第一届军艺本科学生，师从周思聪、林凡、刘大为笔名师，并得到了叶浅予、卢沉、姚有多先生的指教，学业优异。毕业作品中国画《一九三五·遵义》的创作成功使其早在1983年就引起中国画界的关注和盛赞，荣获首届解放军文艺奖，并被国家特选为纪念邮票于1985年全国发行，此画被业内誉为中国革命历史画的扛鼎之作，这幅作品是那个年代从创作思想到艺术表现手法上承前启后，继往开来的代表作品，影响至今。刘向平1983年毕业后被中国军事博物馆创作室录用为专职画家，1986年加入中国美术家协会，这期间刘向平在著名画家何孔德、高虹老师的指导下创作了《毛尔盖的早晨》、《建军节》和一批革命历史人物画作。同时也使他有机会细心研习军博创作室前辈画家黄胃大师的大批原作，为他自己以小写意水墨表现为手段的当代人物画的技法和风格的形成可谓助力颇大。他多次参加国内外大展并获奖，为国家绘制了数十幅重大题材的邮票和作品，出版发行有多本个人画集。1993年因中国、加拿大政府级文化交流项目，赴加拿大做访问学者。2005年初刘向平回到北京在其艺术工作室继续他职业画家的创作工作。
