杭鸣时，浙江海宁人。擅长粉画。1945年习画于上海张充仁画室，1955年毕业于鲁迅文艺学院美术部绘画系，后留校任教。曾在浙江美院进修。中国美术家协会水彩艺委会委员，苏州城市建设环境保护学院教授。作品有《工业的粮食》、《红色接班人》、粉画《人物》、年画《草原铁骑》、油画《柯棣华抢救伤员》等。粉画《柯桥夕照》获1998年美国第二十六届粉画展一等奖。出版有《杭鸣时画选》等。

Hang Ming was born in Haining, Zhejiang Province. Good at pink painting. In 1945, he studied painting in Zhang Chongren's studio in Shanghai. In 1955, he graduated from the painting department of the Art Department of Lu Xun Literature and art college, and then stayed in school to teach. He studied in Zhejiang Academy of fine arts. Member of Watercolor Art Committee of China Artists Association, Professor of Suzhou urban construction and Environmental Protection Institute. His works include "grain for industry", "red successor", pink painting "character", New Year Painting "grassland iron riding", oil painting "kodihua rescuing the wounded", etc. "The sunset of Keqiao" won the first prize of the 26th American pink painting exhibition in 1998. He has published selected paintings of Hang Ming period, etc.
