李新禹，1964年出生。毕业于天津大学机械学院，硕士学位（现为在职博士），副教授。虽在工科方面有一定的建树，但因自幼酷爱绘画，于1996年考入天津美术学院中国画系助教研究生班学习。先后受教于杨德树、霍春阳、白庚延、何家英、杨沛璋等名师。主攻工笔人物、花鸟。画风清新、古朴，功力精严，细致入微。笔下人物，轻灵脱俗，融现代画风于传统之中，画面清丽明快，广受好评。现为中国美术家协会会员、南开画院一级画师。
