韩秉华自1972年于香港中文大学进修学院设计文凭课程毕业，1976年与苏敏仪创立形意设计公司，并出任创作总监，历年来从事设计及艺术工作。
他的作品屡于海外及香港展出及获奖，包括波兰华沙海报双年展、法国国际海报沙龙展、纽约艺术指导杂志创作金奖、香港设计师协会海报金奖、包装星奖及市政局书籍印制大奖等。1986年曾举行《韩秉华的海报艺术》展。1991年举办《河山意——韩秉华水墨展》，1997年中华文化促进中心主办《回归自然》韩秉华艺术展。韩秉华自1978年起从事设计教育工作，于香港理工大学及香港中文大学校外部兼任讲师，1980年与友人创立香港正形设计学校。1985年获选为十大杰出青年，1992年获香港艺术家联盟颁发艺术家年奖，曾获邀出任香港特别行政区区旗区徽评审委员，并为修改人之一。1997年被香港各界庆祝回归活动委员会委任为其回归吉祥物——中华白海豚之设计师。1998至2000年出任香港设计师协会主席，并任香港艺术家协会副主席，香港艺术馆荣誉顾问。
