1950年生于北京。1986年在德国明斯克工业大学艺术学院主持东方艺术讲座。1986年至今在日本京都造型艺术大学艺术学部任艺术学教授。现任李可染画院执行院长，李可染艺术基金会学术委员，中国国家画院研究员，日本京都造型艺术大学教授、研究员。日本总理大臣宫泽授予“绀绶章”特殊文化贡献褒章 。

Born in Beijing in 1950. In 1986, he presided over a lecture on Oriental Art at the School of Art, Minsk University of Technology, Germany. Since 1986, he has been a professor of art at the Art Department of Kyoto University of Plastic Arts. Currently, he is the executive president of Li Keran Academy of Painting, the academic member of Li Keran Art Foundation, the researcher of China National Academy of Painting, and the professor and researcher of Kyoto University of Plastic Arts, Japan. Japan's Prime Minister Miyazawa has awarded the Special Cultural Contribution Medal of the "Tambourine Medal".
