谢振瓯，1944生，浙江温州人，曾供职于陕西国画院。现为中国工笔画学会副会长，中国画学会创会理事，中国美术家协会会员，厦门大学艺术学院兼职教授，福建省文史馆馆员，享受国务院特殊津贴专家、福建省优秀专家称号，国家一级美术师，历任浙江省美术家协会理事，陕西省政协委员，福建省政协常委，福建省人大代表，福建省美术家协会副主席，福州市文联副主席，福州画院院长。作品曾数十次参加国内外大型展览，并获得第五届全国美展银奖，第六届全国美展金奖等。七件作品被中国美术馆收藏。出版有《谢振瓯——唐人诗意图》、《中国美术家档案——谢振瓯卷》、《锦绣文章——谢振瓯工笔画精选》等。个人介绍和作品还分别被收入《中国当代美术1979——1999》、《百年中国画集》、《浙江美术作品集》、《中国现代美术全集——中国画人物卷》、《中国美术50年》、《新中国美术六十年》等大型画册，是当今中国画坛德艺双馨、十分有影响的画家之一。代表作是“《丝绸之路》、《长安西市图》、《大唐伎乐图》《空海入唐漂着图》、《锦绣文章系列》。
