吴天墀(1892～1974)，名吴隚，字天墀。山东济宁（一说邹城市石墙宋庄）人。17岁入济宁州立初级师范学校。24岁入山东高等师范手工图画专修科，1918年毕业。1918～1937年先后在山东省立第一师范、济南师范美术系任教。1937年日军侵入后，不愿为日伪服务，以卖画谋生。1946年任山东省立图书馆馆员、采编部主任。1949年后先后任山东省自然科学教育研究所绘制组长，山东省博物馆绘画组长、研究员。擅画动物，尤精画虎，亦工山水、花卉。1955年，作品《夜虎》、《鹰》分别参加华东和全国美展。多幅作品被选入《山东国画选辑》。曾举办过多次联合和个人画展。有《百虎图》、《百兽图》名世。作品笔法简练沉稳，形象生动逼真。曾任华东美协理事、山东省文联执行委员、省美协理事、济南市美术研究会副会长。当选为山东省第一、二、三届人大代表，政协山东省第一、三、四届委员会委员。??
