范兴儒，男，1941年8月生。高级政工师、群众文化副研究馆员，现为中国美术家协会会员。
1958年9月考入常书鸿先生任院长的兰州艺术学院美术系；
1962年并入西北师范大学。在校期间，先后受业于常书鸿、韩天眷、汪岳云诸先生，学习中国传统绘画技法——工笔重彩；
1964年9月毕业被分配到我国核武器研制基地任中学美术教师；
1973年4月调厂工会俱乐部任职工美术辅导员并从事美术宣传工作；
1982年11月提任工会副主席主管职工群众文化工作；1990年调任四零四厂、甘肃矿区（地师级）党委宣传部副部长兼文化局副局长，主管群众文化工作；
1991年在甘肃笫二次美代会上被选为省美术家协会理事；
自1997年以来先后被聘为西北师大美术学院客座教授、兰州职业技术学院客座教授、甘肃省对外文化交流协会理事、陇风诗书画社名誉社长、兰州市政协书画院特邀画家、甘肃省图书馆书画研究院顾问等。
