徐永田，1940年生于山东莒县。中国书法家协会会员，日照市书法家协会顾问。自幼酷爱书画艺术，工作之余，忙里偷闲，临帖读书，六十年来从未间断过。
艺海无涯，为了提高书法艺术水平，先后入中国书画函授大学济南分校学习三年，并在北京大学书法艺术研究班、中国书法家协会培训中心研修班学习三年。先后得到魏启后、沈鹏、欧阳中石、刘艺、钱绍武、张道兴、林岫等名家指点，书艺大进。加之自己努力，取得了可喜的收获。

书法作品被《书法》杂志、《书法报》、《中国书画报》、《联合日报》、《人民权利报》、《山东侨报》等报刊报道。2003年10月获中国书协教学成果展特等奖。其书法作品还被日照市委、市政府，莒县县委、县政府作为礼品送往美国、日本、新加坡、台湾等国家和地区。
