韩登安

韩登安(1905—1976),原名竟,一字仲铮,别署耿斋、安华、印农,晚年又号无待居士、本翁,浙江萧山义桥镇牌轩下村人。少时从父居杭州,拜书画篆刻家周承德为师。

物竞天择”之说,故取以为名;字仲诤。出生于农历九月初六日,时近重阳登高,幼时家人呼曰“阿登”,长则以登安为字、号,中年易号为名,并刻“登东皋以舒啸,审容膝之易安”、“登高能赋,安步当车”等闲章寄意。别署登庵、登厂、饮禅、富家山民、耿斋、印农、小章、本翁、无待居士、登叟。所居曰容膝楼、玉梅花庵、物芸斋[1]  青灯籀古庵。祖籍浙江萧山,出生于杭州。1932年加入杭州西泠印社,曾任该社总干事、兼龙渊印社常务监事。解放后,为浙江省文史馆馆员。

篆刻

平生以篆刻一门最为人所称道,从艺时间垂50年,作印二万余方。篆刻以浙派为根底,上下求索,问上溯源周秦两汉,崇占玺、汉铸印、汉凿印,下及西泠八家、邓石如、吴让之、徐三英、黄牧甫诸家、广采博收,体貌多样,在后浙派印人中,以他在继承万面用力最勤,是现代印坛工稳一派的代表人物。沙孟海评价其篆刻“海内外论印者方以韩老为西泠印派之后劲、余乃举述本社前辈,即已示人有继承有发展,不拘一格,各逞专长。登安之学不尖为当今玉严静穆一派之代表”。诗人沈禹钟《印人杂咏》有云:“洗眼西湖老倍明,奏刀常对众山青。正宗爱效琅琊法,穆穆忧存旧典型。”也视韩登安为得篆法正宗的印人。

20世纪60年代西泠印社恢复活动、各地有不少精英加盟西泠印社、印社的整体印风由较为单纯的浙派印风转问印风的多元综合。

专业印人

作为坐镇印社的专业印人,韩登安探索的触角虽然还未收起,但他长期从事浙派印风创作的经历和西泠印人的责任感使他意识到、要把握住篆刻的脉络,重拾浙派在印林的雄风。尽管当时浙派在人才资源还是创作力量上占居着上风,韩登安还是隐约感觉到潜在危机,所以,他一方面把有限的精力投入创作,以细朱文为基点,着力建构带有西泠印社社特色的浙派风范。另一方面,他又分盅精力用于对年轻一代印人的培养,使西泠印社在人才资源上后继有人。在特定时限内,韩登安通过本人的努力,并以可操作性极强的篆刻创作带起了一批人,成为当肘西怜印社驻社成员中的一面旗帜。

篆刻立场

韩登安和他师承的前辈、浙派代表人物王福庵有着差不多的篆刻立场,如“印从书出”,重视篆书和写篆的功底,重视金石意趣的表达,在务求工稳一点上亦颇为接近。但韩登安以西泠印社社员和浙江印人双重身份生活在20世纪50、60年代时,他所要考虑的,可能比他的前辈们要面临更多的课题:艺术的精化和时代的要求,职业的和艺术的等等,有些印人能解决,而有些则很难改易。幸而篆刻在艺术门类里太小太小:只与文字相关,所碰到的也只有简化字一类问题。

个人作品

 有《续说艾作篆通假》、《明清印篆选录》(末梓)。其身后由西泠印社出版,经其孤子韩经世及弟子余正选编的《韩登安印存》,总括其一生创作的精粹。

韩登安出版过多种印谱,如《登安印存》、《岁华集印谱》、《西泠印社性迹留痕》、《毛主席诗词三十七首》等。其中《毛主席诗词三十七首》是韩登安晚年的作品,20世纪70年代末由上海书画出版社出版,集中反映了韩登安对多字印创作的谋篇、运思、结篆、奏刀、用意方面的匠心,是他平生创作多字印的杰构。《西泠印社胜迹留痕》是韩登安中年时期的代表作,印成于烽火连天的抗战期间。作者撷取西泠印社内各亭台楼阁的名称,勒石篆刻。谱中的每一万印章各具面目,手法多变,极少雷同,显示了深厚的功底和出众的艺术才华。值得一提的是
