1949年生于广东省湛江市，1976年毕业于华南师范大学政史系。现任深圳市华侨商品供应有限公司董事长，中国美术家协会会员，兼任中国美协深圳创作中心主任。长期坚持中国画创作实践。曾在北京中国美术馆、深圳美术馆、河南博物院、江西省博物馆、东湛江博物馆、浙江西湖美术馆、山东省美术馆举办个人画展。1999年作品《一池寒影》参加“庆祝建国50周年暨跨世纪全国山水画大展”并获优秀奖。2001年作品《随想曲》、《暴风雨后的宁静》参加“中、日、韩三国代表画家作品展”。2003年作品《春日》入选第二届全国中国画展览，作品《闪烁》入选2003年全国中国画展并获优秀奖。作品《热土吟唱》组画入选庆祝建国五十五周年广东省美术作品展。近年来有不少作品发表于《美术》、《国画家》、《中华文化画报》、《美术报》、《光明日报》，香港《文汇报》、《大公报》等报刊。其独特个人风格的作品引起各方面的关注，国内不少著名美术评论家著文推介和评述。
