沈中，浙江嘉兴人，毕业于中国美术学院。1989年1991年浙江美术学院美术教育专业大专毕业，1995年至1998年浙江师范大学美术教育专业函授本科毕业，1991年至2003年浙江嘉兴三中任教。中国美术家协会会员，浙江省水彩画家协会会员，嘉兴市美术家协会理事。浙江嘉兴市美术家协会副秘书长，市水彩画会副秘书长。

2003年《飘散的音符之八》获第六界全国水彩、粉画展优秀作品奖。
