廖开(1954.10—)重庆人。擅长水彩画、舞美设计。1978年考入中央工艺美院染织美术系，毕业分配四川锦阳纺织工业公司科技科，1986年任锦阳市歌舞团舞美队长，同年到中央戏剧学院舞美设计研修班进修。现任云南艺术学院艺术设计系教授。
代表性成果：
《春天的故事》入选全国第九节美展；《阳光·老人》入选首届全国水彩画展；《集市一角》入选首届全国水彩人物画展。
获奖成果：
《春天的故事》获省级三等奖；《家园》获省级三等奖；《基础素描·静物部分》获云南艺术学院科研二等奖；《水粉写生》获云南艺术学院科研二等奖。
