曾赴西非三国及西欧诸国和美国访问、考察，并曾赴南斯拉夫参加学术交流活动。“少女”、“无题”、“摔跤手”等十六件作品为中国美术馆收藏。出版有《刘焕章雕刻选》（外文出版社，1984）、《刘焕章雕塑选》（辽宁美术出版社

，1985）、《刘焕章雕塑作品集》（人民美术出版社，2000）、《刘焕章雕塑艺术》（荣宝斋出版社，1999）、《刘焕章篆刻艺术》（荣宝斋出版社，1999）。

 曾先后参加北京展览馆、中国历史博物馆、中国军事博物馆、毛主席纪念堂等建设大型雕塑创作。出版有《刘焕章雕塑选》、《刘焕章印纽集》、《刘焕章雕塑作品集》等。

1955年创作《采茶姑娘》，参加华沙第五届世界青年联欢节美展。1956年创作《刘胡兰胸像》在北京市青年美展获奖。先后为河北省隆化中学创作《董存瑞像》，为工人体育场创作《足球运动员》，为革命历史博物馆创作《北伐军》等。

1961年创作《少女》（木雕）。

1981 由中国美术家协会在中国美术馆为其举办个人雕塑作品展。共展出作品372件，如《摔跤手》、《顽童》、《新书》、《无题》、《儿时的回忆》等，中国美术馆先后选藏了16件作品。

1982 中国中央电视台拍摄、播放了专题片“雕刻家刘焕章”。

1985 赴香港举办个人作品展。

1989年2月于中国美术馆举办第二次雕塑个展。

1990年代以来创作大量室外大型雕塑。

2000 由中国美术家协会在中国美术馆为其举办个人雕塑作品展；阳光卫视拍摄、播放了“雕塑家刘焕章”（人物在线栏目）。

2004 获文化部颁发“造型艺术终生成就奖”。

国画艺术

在国画创作上，也有其独到造诣，多才多艺的艺术大师刘焕章雕塑作品之外的绘画作品，把写实、夸张、抽象、写意、印象等诸手法巧妙地融为一体。

 Liu Huanzhang, a famous master of sculpture art, was born in Leting, Hebei Province in 30 years. Good at sculpture. In middle school, I learned seal cutting from a teacher. Four members of the Chinese Association of Fine Arts and researcher of the Institute of Sculpture Creation, Central Academy of Fine Arts. He joined the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 51, and graduated from the Sculpture Research Class of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 56. He stayed at the school to engage in sculpture creation. He has participated in large-scale sculpture creation of Beijing Exhibition Hall, Chinese History Museum, Chinese Military Museum, Workers'Stadium and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. He has designed and created large outdoor sculptures or urban sculptures for Beijing University of Foreign Trade and Economics, Beijing Cancer Hospital, Dingxin (International) Group and Jilin City. He has also created portraits for Ye Jianying Memorial Hall, Li Kuzen Memorial Hall and Ye Shaoyu Memorial Hall. And Professor 

He has visited and visited three countries in West Africa, various countries in Western Europe and the United States, and participated in academic exchanges in Yugoslavia. Sixteen works such as "Girls", "Untitled" and "Wrestlers" are collected by the Chinese Art Museum. He has published Selected Sculptures of Liu Huanzhang (Foreign Language Press, 1984) and Selected Sculptures of Liu Huanzhang (Liaoning Fine Arts Press).

Exhibitions and Honours

He has participated in large-scale sculpture creation in Beijing Exhibition Hall, China History Museum, China Military Museum and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. Published "Liu Huanzhang Sculpture Selection", "Liu Huanzhang Seal Newspaper Collection", "Liu Huanzhang Sculpture Collection" and so on.

In 1955, she created "Tea-picking Girl" and participated in the Fifth World Youth Festival Art Exhibition in Warsaw. In 1956, Liu Hulan's Breast Portrait won an award at the Beijing Youth Art Exhibition. He created Dong Cunrui Picture for Longhua Middle School, Football Player for Workers Stadium and Northern Expeditionary Army for the Museum of Revolutionary History.

In 1961, she wrote The Girl (Wood Carving).

In 1981, the Chinese Artists Association held a personal Sculpture Exhibition for him in the Chinese Art Museum. A total of 372 works were exhibited, such as "Wrestlers", "Naughty Children", "New Books", "Untitled", "Memories of Childhood" and so on. The Chinese Art Museum has selected 16 works successively. 

In 1982, CCTV filmed and broadcast the feature film "Sculptor Liu Huanzhang". 

In 1985, he went to Hong Kong to hold a personal exhibition. 

In February 1989, the second solo sculpture exhibition was held at the Chinese Art Museum. 

Since the 1990s, a large number of large outdoor sculptures have been created.

In 2000, the Chinese Artists Association held an exhibition of personal sculptures for him at the Chinese Art Museum. Sunshine Satellite Television filmed and broadcast "Sculptor Liu Huanzhang" (character online column).

In 2004, he was awarded the "Plastic Art Lifetime Achievement Award" by the Ministry of Culture.

Chinese Painting Art

In the creation of traditional Chinese painting, there are also unique attainments. The paintings of Liu Huanzhang, a versatile artist, are skillfully integrated with realism, exaggeration, abstraction, freehand brushwork and impression.
