吴介琴别名吴家骥，四川成都人。擅长雕塑。17岁那年他参军，参加了抗日战争；22岁的时候考入中央美术学院雕塑系学雕塑，1953年毕业。1955年在该院研究生毕业。1978年，他回到学校当起了本科和研究生的英语老师。1983年回到雕塑艺术研究所从事专业艺术创作。此后他又出国访问教学了10多年，直到1998年回国。回国后的他又当起了英文老师，并开始搞起音乐创作，爱上了萨克斯。现在中央美术学院雕塑创作研究室工作。
作品有《我也要干》、《唐俑胸像》、《人与大地》等。编译有《?粉笔画》、《英汉美术专用词典》等。
