张德华，女，(1931-2005)生於青岛。1953年中央美术学院雕塑系毕业，1963年中央美术学院雕塑研究班毕业。1990年被收入英国剑桥国际名人录。是中国当代知名女雕塑家，中央美术学院教授。雕塑功底扎实，大器洒脱，有着强烈的抒情性。《壮族姑娘》是张德华1980年去广西深入生活时，发现一位壮族少女形象优美，身姿感人，沉积10年之后，根据这个少女的印象创作了这件汉白玉石雕。
代表作品∶《母与子》、《义和团》、《安息》、《向往》、《白经》、《少女》、《壮族姑娘》、《老舍》、《医圣张仲景》、《刘少奇》、《八女投江》、《农奴愤》等。
获奖记录∶1956年青年美展一等奖、1975年获三八红旗集体、1979年北京市美展一等奖、1982年法国巴黎春季沙龙金质奖、1985年荣获先进工作者称号，1994年城市雕塑优秀作品奖，1994年被授予美国坎萨斯市荣誉市民称号及证书。
