孙家钵

孙家钵,北京人。1959年人,中央美术学院雕塑系学习,毕业后去福建工艺美术研究所从事漆画和木雕研究。1978年入中央美术学院研究生班研习雕塑,毕业后留校任教。1980年至今任教于中央美术学院雕塑系,现任中央美术学院学术委员会委员、中央美术学院雕塑系第一工作室导师、博士生导师。1986-1987年应邀赴约旦YABMORK大学文学院教授素描、水彩、雕塑、并赴欧洲考察。

艺术家孙家钵简介

孙家钵,北京人。1959年人,中央美术学院雕塑系学习,毕业后去福建工艺美术研究所从事漆画和木雕研究。1978年入中央美术学院研究生班研习雕塑,毕业后留校任教。1980年至今任教于中央美术学院雕塑系,现任中央美术学院学术委员会委员、中央美术学院雕塑系第一工作室导师、博士生导师。1986-1987年应邀赴约旦YABMORK大学文学院教授素描、水彩、雕塑、并赴欧洲考察。
作品以木雕为主,有《老北京》、《老把式》、《大姑娘》、《老母亲》等。作品多次参加国内外展出。陶雕《牧归图》、《山里红》获第六届全国美展铜奖等。创作的大型人像雕塑和纪念碑矗立在北京、陕西的公共场所。作品为中国美术馆及日本、法国、澳门等国家和地区的美术馆和私人收藏。
艺术特色
孙家钵创作木雕作品,审美是建立在中国传统文化审美中诗学的“比”,“兴”方法之上,建立在中国写意绘画“似与不似之间”的标准上,建立在福州木雕“开大荒”的方法上。
孙家钵是中国雕塑家中不多的,几乎没有淌过“装饰性抽象雕塑”的“水”的艺术家之一。其实他并非不懂抽象。他在1986年就去过约旦,90年代也在巴黎的美院画室呆过。他是在坚持自己的立场。他的立场即:把握木雕造型上的“似与不似之间”的“度”。正是这个“度”被钱绍武邵大箴等称之为“写意雕塑”(当然,这有点关起门来续写中国美术史的意思)。
个人生活
文化大革命,改变了几代人的命运。也改变了孙家钵的命运。
孙家钵在远离北京的福建省度过了文革期间的十几年,其中有五年是呆在福建工艺美术研究所。在文革及文革之前的中国文化艺术系统里,所谓工艺美术实际上包括了地方上流传着的所有的民间艺术种类。作为学雕塑出来的孙家钵,在这个研究所里,跑遍了几乎所有的福州,泉州一带的木雕工艺品厂。1978年,孙家波从福建回到北京的母校——中央美院读研究生班的时候,他的行囊中多了一把斧子。
这斧子是福建木雕师傅打木雕时开大荒所用。在任何一家木雕厂里,开大荒是第一道,也是最重要的一道工序,开大荒的师傅就是经验最多,技术最高明的老师傅。好的师傅开大荒,会合理利用木料的尺寸形状和木头的纹理走向,做到省料又结实,几斧子劈下去,木雕人物或动物、植物的形象,虽眉眼手足衣饰细节未具,精气神却已经呼之欲出。再往下一个工序,刻画手足眉眼细节的,反而是年轻一些,功夫差一些的师傅。可以说,孙家钵从美术学院毕业后,是福建的老木雕师傅给他另外补上了一堂雕塑造形基本功的课。这一课在学院里是学不到的。
1980年孙家钵研究生班的毕业作品,木雕创作“屈原”被中国美术馆收藏。这把并不起眼的斧子,顶面是正锐三角形,侧面几乎呈正方形,乌青锋利而又简单纯朴,从那时起就成为孙家钵打开雕塑艺术之门的钥匙。同时,借助这把斧子,孙家钵把自己已经被改变了的命运,再改变一次并掌握在自己的手中。
从此后,一件件木雕从斧头下诞生。“半截子美展”上,孙家钵参展的作品已经是成了系列的“老北京”木雕。1985年,孙家钵分到了王府井老美院留学生楼10层上的一间12平米的工作室,其间斧凿落在木头上的“邦、邦”声就没有中断过。
1997年,在美院搬迁到酒仙桥二厂之后,当时雕塑系的通道画廊里,举办了孙家钵的个人木雕作品展。展出的作品除了“老北京系列”,又有了“大姑娘系列”。
2000年,孙家钵在下苑建起了自己更大的工作室。老北京四合院的大拆迁,给孙家钵提供了源源不断的木料。工作室里的“邦、邦”声,持久地回响着。
