胡孟炎(1933.3—)别名孟炎、守初，四川遂宁人。擅长绘画、雕塑。北京中国画院第一期进修班结业。曾在部队从事美术工作，历任中国美术馆研究收藏部主任、研究馆员。作品获香港国际书画大展银奖，第二届世界华人艺术展金奖。作品被中国美术馆等收藏。作品有油画《坦克部队到山村》、中国画《胸中自有山河在》、版画《拉家常》、雕塑《胜利者》等。出版有《胡孟炎作品选》等。
