余平，江西景德镇人。1990年毕业于景德镇陶瓷学院美术系雕塑专业，现为广东省陶瓷学校雕塑教研室讲师，韩山师范学院美术系兼职讲师，中国工艺美术学会雕塑专业委员会委员。1997年雕塑作品《对奕》入选“广东省第四届体育美术作品展”；2001年雕塑作品《小兵》入选“庆祝中国共产党建党80周年广东省美术作品展”和“2002中国（东阳）国际木雕艺术大奖赛”；雕塑作品《2008·北京》获“第五届广东省美术作品展”优秀奖，并入选“第五届全国体育美展”；陶艺作品《聚》获“第一届全国陶瓷艺术设计评比”优秀奖；陶艺作品《加油·中国》获“第七届全国陶瓷艺术设计创新评比”银奖；陶艺作品《金豆豆》获“第七届全国陶瓷艺术设计创新评比”银奖；2003年陶艺作品《融古·龙骨》入选“第二届全国陶瓷艺术展览”；陶艺作品《套套子》入选“第二届全国陶瓷艺术展览”；2004年陶艺作品《手指套》被中国美术家协会选送至法国展出；雕塑作品《加油·中国》入选“广东省庆祝建国55周年美术作品展”。
