梁根祥，1941年12月生，1961年毕业于广东佛山艺专。中国美术家协会会员，副研究员职称，历任佛山画院院长、佛山雕塑院院长、石景宜艺术馆馆长、佛山市美术家协会副主席。作品多次参加全国美展并为海内外有关机构收藏。他融汇中国画的技法于水彩画，所创作的岭南水乡风景画形成了秀丽、静穆、深厚的独特风格，开创了点派水彩的新样式。
