洪明道，男，1938年生。江苏扬中人，二级美术师。数十年从事工业企业文化建设，学校美术教育，美术创作，参加过多次高级美术创作研究班学习，得到赖少其、郑震等名师悉心教诲。早年潜心版画创作和技法探索，现专攻国画山水，作品多次参加全国美展、出国展览、获奖、入选画册，部分作品被国内外收藏。代表作品有《银线传万家》、《今日三峡》、《朝辞白帝》、《船厂之最》、《邻居》、《夔峡天下雄》等，其中《今日三峡》被联合国教科文组织作为介绍中国绘画艺术成就入选《中国现代绘画艺术展览》在教科文组织一百多成员国巡回展览数年、得到广泛好评。1985年被授予安徽省自学成才者，传略收入《中国职工自学成才者辞典》、《中国美术家辞典》，《中国美术年鉴》等多部辞书和《奔向世界的航迹》报告文学集。现为中国美术家协会会员，中国版画家协会会员，中国工艺美术学会会员，中国工艺美术学会会员。中国神剑文学艺术学会理事、芜湖市美协副主席、芜湖版画研究会会长、芜湖书画院院聘画师。
