山西原平人。擅长版画。1963年入伍，1970年从事专业美术创作。历任北京军区装甲兵文化处干事，北京军区政治部创作室创作员，一级美术师。享受政府特殊津贴。现为中国美术家协会会员、中国版画家协会理事。作品《初尝温饱》获第八届全国美展优秀奖，《创业年代》获第六届全国美展铜奖。作品有《休息的时候》、《难忘的岁月》、《边区父老》、《强者之音》、《生命之花》等。作品入编《中国新兴版画五十年选集》、《中国现代美术全集》等。作品被中国美术馆等收藏。出版有《傅琳版画选》。
