刘迅(1923.3—2007.11)江苏南京人。1937年在重庆当工人，1938年加入中国共产党。1940年赴延安陕北公学学习，后到延安鲁艺进修。1945赴东北解放区工作，做过文工团美术干部，《东北画报》编辑、战地记者、编辑科长。发表过漫画、木刻、年画、政治讽刺诗、通讯和小说。1949年调往北京筹备《人民画报》出版工作，任编辑部主任、人民美术出版社连环画报主编、人民美术出版社美术创作部主任。1978年任北京画院副院长兼党委书记、北京市美协副主席。1979年担任中国美术家协会常务书记。1985年任吴作人国际美术基金会副理事兼秘书长。1989年任北京市文联副主席、北京市美协主席。作品有《水库傍晚》等。1988年在中国美术馆举办个人油画展。1994年在美国卡森市、洛杉矶等地举办个人油画展。部分作品被中国美术馆、北京市美术家协会及美国、日本、新加坡、瑞典、墨西哥、巴基斯坦及香港等国家和地区收藏。1998年在斯德哥尔摩举办个人画展。曾在北京国际艺苑美术馆举办五次个人画展。2001年在匈牙利举办油画作品展。出版有刘迅油画作品集及刘迅中国画作品集共4种。现任北京国际艺苑有限公司董事长、北京国际艺苑美术基金会主席、李可染艺术基金会顾问、北京市人民政府专业顾问、首都城市雕塑艺术委员会副主任。出版画册：《第一本刘迅油画作品集》、《第二本刘迅油画作品集》、《第一本刘迅中国画作品集》、《刘迅画集》。
