吴川(1940.8—)福建泉州人。擅长漆画、版画。1965年广州美术学院版画系毕业。后到福建省工艺美术研究所从事漆画创作至今，现为高级工艺美术师，中国漆画研究会副会长。漆画作品曾参加纪念延安文艺座谈会30周年全国美展及第七届、第八届全国美展。1993年被轻工部授予中国“工艺美术大师”荣誉称号。《草垛》获中国漆画展优秀作品奖并为中国工艺美术馆收藏；《乌龙江大桥工地夜景》为中国美术馆收藏；《闽南故乡》、《雾》、《草垛》收入《中国美术全集·漆画》。
