云南普洱市人，中国美术家协会会员，云南省美术家协会副主席，普洱市文联副主席，普洱市美术家协会主席，普洱市（国际）美术创作交流基地（中心）主任，古道博刻画家村总裁。
1980年毕业于云南思茅师范高等专科学校美术系，1992年进修结业于中央美术学院版画系。
1986年《流动的光》获第九届全国版画作品展览优秀作品奖。
1989年《秋歌?发白的土地》获第七届全国美术作品展览银奖，云南省美术作品贡献奖。
1994年《春光》获第十二届全国版画作品展银奖。
1999年获中国80～90年代优秀版画家“鲁迅版画奖”。
2002年《原野》获第十六届全国版画作品展览金奖，云南省第四届文学艺术创作基金一等奖。
2003年《圣土》获第二届全国美术“金彩奖”美术作品展览银奖。
2004年《收获的土地》获中国第十届全国美术作品展览优秀作品奖，云南省美术作品一等奖
