朱宣咸(1927年浙江--2002年重庆)，中国画画家，木刻版画家与美术活动家；二十世纪四十年代初起从事中国画与新兴木刻版画创作。1951年任中华全国美协重庆执委；中国美术家协会会员，重庆市美术家协会首任常务副主席兼秘书长；是成立重庆市美术家协会的筹备人，成立重庆国画院的发起人，重庆美专校的创始人。曾获党和政府颁发的“献给共和国创立者”勋章。

半个多世纪来创作了不少中国画、版画、时政漫画等作品，并被中国美术馆，清华大学及各地美术馆、博物馆等机构收藏；被《中国年鉴》，《中国百年版画(1900--2000)》，《寒凝大地--国统区木刻版画集(1930--1949)》等大型文献收录；1946年起作品多次入选国家级美展(1946年中华美展，1948年中华全国美展，1952年中国画展，1959年第三届全国美术作品展览，1959年第四届全国版画展览，1962年纪念延讲二十年来全国优秀美术作品展览等)；发表中国画、版画、漫画、插画等作品数千次；被《美术观察》、《人民日报》等媒体专题评介；先后出版有《朱宣咸木刻版画集》(1996年)，《朱宣咸花鸟画选辑》(1998年)，《朱宣咸风景木刻版画选辑》(1998年)；《艺术常青--美术家朱宣咸》(2004年)。受中国美术家协会委托编辑出版《第六届全国美展获奖作品集》(1985年)，也曾编辑出版《重庆中国画选集》(1989年)等大型画册；2000年由文化、新闻、出版等六单位曾联合主办“朱宣咸从艺五十五年画展”；生平被载入《中国美术辞典》、《世界美术家传》和《中国文艺家传记》等国家级辞书。

年轻时就投身人民美术事业和进步学生运动的中共党员、离休干部朱宣咸，早年在上海直接参与鲁迅先生的新文化运动与新兴木刻版画运动，1948年在《观察》杂志社事件中被捕。后与刘开渠、张乐平共同代表上海美术界在《大公报》发表迎接解放的联合宣言；在中华全国美术协会工作后，参加中国人民解放军，1949年进军到重庆；是中国美术家协会会员，中国版画家协会会员，四川省美术家协会常务理事，重庆市文联委员，重庆国画院艺术顾问，重庆美专校校长等。?长期以来，朱宣咸也正直无私的先后担任了重庆市新闻、文化、教育、出版系统的美术领导工作，作为1949年建国后重庆美术事业的重要开拓者之一，也对于建立，推动和促进尤其是重庆在二十世纪中期与后期美术事业的繁荣与发展方面作出了重要的贡献。
