陈良才先生系中国美术家协会会员，河南大学美术系教授。出生在广东梅县，自小酷爱美术，1964年毕业于湖北美术学院美术系，师从张振铎?关山月?汤文选等著名国画大师。毕业后分配到河南大学美术系任教。为河南美术界培养了一批活跃于当今画坛的中坚力量。1965年作品《黄河两岸金稻香》入选第三届美展，同年应邀为北京人民大会堂河南厅创作大画。1966年曾担任焦裕禄大型展览设计及主创人员，创作代表作品《谈心》。1984年作品《清漓渔舟》、《黄山图》被中国美术馆收藏；《万山深处一孤舟》被中国画研究院收藏；?1993年《盛世江山?硕果累累》被毛主席纪念堂收藏，并被编入由江泽民题写书名的《毛主席纪念堂珍藏画集》。2005年，《盛世江山国泰民安》被中国国家博物馆收藏并出版展出。曾多次举办画展，众多作品被国内外收藏家和美术爱好者广泛收藏。2006年，应邀为人民大会堂创作巨幅国画《源远流长》。
