1962年毕业于山东师范学院美术本科，历任报社记者、美编，其中作品《这里静悄悄》、《矿山风云》入选第五、六届全国美展，《咏梅》获“纪念毛泽东诞辰104周年”全国美展二等奖，《总理功德千秋如见》、《满树石榴开口笑》（中国画）等作品，荣获全国奖励、出版、收藏。赢得了国内外同仁、收藏家的好评。大量作品在“中美民间友谊画展”、“中日书画交流展”、“泰国水墨画交流展”中，受到了高度评价。1993年率枣庄市书画家代表团出访日本东京，为中日文化交流作出贡献，其作品发表于《美术报》、《中国书画报道》、《中国画家》、《美术》等，作品多次入选全国美展、出国展览，并被出版、收藏等。有《于安民画家》出版。入选《中国美术年鉴》、《中国现代美术家人名大辞典》、《中国美术家》、《世界名人录》等辞书。
