1956年10月15日生于陕西省。1979年毕业于西安美院，师从刘文西，1982年研修于中央美院。现为西安美院国画系教授、中国美术家协会会员、中国国画家协会理事、陕西省少数民族书画研究院常务理事、西安回族书画研究院副院长、西安文史馆研究员。先后在美国、北京、上海、深圳、河南、河北、山东等举办个人画展，在日本、加拿大参加联展。作品曾获建国四十五周年’94中华书画艺术博览会银牌奖，加拿大枫叶佳作奖。曾参加中国首届人物画展、中国高等美院优秀作品展、全国三届工笔画展、黄河画展、回族画展、风俗画展、八届美展等。作品先后发表在《中国首届人物画展画集》、《民族画报》、《中国高等美院美术全集》、《中国高等美术院校工笔画作品评析》、《河南籍画家作品集》、《西北美术》、《中日友好书画集》、《光明日报》等画集和刊物中。由陕西人民美术出版社出版姬国强编著《传统工笔重彩人物画临摹范本》、《韩熙载夜宴图临摹范本》教材两套。中国文联出版社出版《姬国强中国当代写意人物画谱》一套。发表专业论文多篇。有关艺术生涯载入《贾平凹散文集》，《世界华人文学艺术界名人录》。荣获中国文联“’99百杰画家”荣誉称号。

姬国强艺术年表

1973年考入西安美术学院，受教于罗铭、刘文西、陈忠志、谌北新、武德祖、马改虎等
1977年赴白水县美院农场参加劳动，9月份随刘文西、陈光健老师从事美院教学工作
1980年创作《草原的夏天》、《晨光》、《冬晓》由《陕西日报》、《陕西教育》发表。1982年于北京中央美院研修一年，受到李奇、冯真、贺友直、胡勃、王沂东等先生的指导；在故宫临摹传统绘画珍品《韩熙载夜宴图》，被刘文西、陈光健老师作为研究生示范教材使用
1994年《碑林》荣获“建国45周年’94中华书画艺术博览会”银奖
1995年赴美国加州秘尔布瑞市南海湾区美术馆举办“姬国强西北风情人物画展”
1997年于河南洛阳大千画廊举办首次画展
1998年河南郑州郑州升达艺术馆、广州深圳艺术家画廊举办个人画展；出版《工笔重彩人物画临摹范本》；作品《高原的母亲》北京大学百年校庆收藏
1999年甘肃兰州秋田美术馆举办个人画展；出版《工笔重彩人物画临摹范本—韩熙载夜宴图》；荣获中国文联“’99百杰画家”荣誉称号
2000年西安美术学院、河南南阳文理学院美术馆举办个人画展，并受邀进行了有关《中国人物画创作中的三要素》学术讲座，文章由《中国书画报》发表。
