王守志，1941年生，山东枣庄人。自幼酷爱金石书画，1960年从师萧龙士研习写意花鸟，后从童雪鸿攻书法篆刻，1963年加入安徽省书法篆刻学会。1984年进合肥市书画院，1991年进修于中国艺术研究院。现为中国书法家协会会员，安徽书法家协会常务理事，安徽省篆刻研究会副会长，安徽省美学学会理事，中国美术家协会会员，合肥市美术家协会主席，合肥市书法家协会常务理事，合肥书画院国家一级美术师。作品曾入选第七届、第八届《全国美术作品展》，《全国首届山水画展》，《全国首届篆刻评展》，第一届《全国书法篆刻展》，第三届《全国中青年书法篆刻展》，连续五届应邀参加《全国当代花鸟画展》。作品入编有：《中国新文艺大系》，《中国印学年鉴》，《中国美术选集》，《中国书法艺术大成》，《中国美术家年鉴》，《中国当代书法家大辞典》，《中国当代花鸟画集》，《安徽美术五十年》，并发表于《美术》，《中国书画》，《书法》、《书法艺术》，《西泠艺丛》等多种刊物。多次荣获国家及省级奖励。先后应邀赴保加利亚、法国、荷兰、德国、比利时、奥地利、卢森堡、日本、韩国、俄罗斯等国家进行访问、交流和举办画展。出版有：《王守志画集》、《王守志山水画集》、《王守志写意花卉集》、《王守志戏剧人物画集》、《当代著名篆刻家作品精选》等。书法以碑学为根基，潜心探求汉隶、六朝碑刻。所作行书用笔雄健，意象开阔，抑放自如；篆书纵笔取势，方圆有致，气势宏伟；篆刻初从汉入，继研邓、赵、黄、齐诸家，刀法精熟，尤得昌硕神韵。作品多次入选国内外重大书法篆刻展览，在《书法》、《西泠艺丛》等刊物发表，被收入多种作品专集。亦作国画，兼擅理论研究，发表论文有《书法与绘画》、《论书法气势》、《萧龙士先生的绘画艺术》、《中国印章的发展及明清流派》、《漫谈篆刻艺术》等。
